When tyring to opn a file I am getting the following which I cannot by pass!
'F:\..........._cxls modified nov.2011 xls could not be found check the spelling etc etc
If you are trying to open the file from your list of recently used files make sure that the file has not be renamed moved or deleted.

Any suggestions, Help please.

Did you look and see if the file is there on the F drive?

Open the file from the File Open method within the program and not by double-clicking the file ( to start the Excel program that then loads the file).

It could, also, be that F: drive is an external flash drive or other and not a partition, and is not attached.

In later versions of Excel (2003 and over), there is a feature to save modified files, much like an undo feature, so that you can revert back to an unedited version.

I don't think that Excel 2007 or Excel 2010 can open Excel 97 files....(hmmm?)
