These are the charts that listed every Intel and every AMD processor that had been produced and some basic specs on them.

When these charts came out on Toms hardware I thought they were the most useful thing in the world. But they haven't maintained them at all. I always have to go looking for them whenever I need something from them and they suck to find time after time. I always seem to lose the bookmark whenever I bookmark it.

it's way too much to retest everysingle game with newer components. too many processors and too many gpus, not to mention tests.

would you wanna deal with that many benchmarks?

I generally go to www.xbitabs.com for benchmarks. Not as extensive, but good enough for me.

There is no such thing as a stupid question.
But there are stupid people.

I understand doing all the benchmarks on every processor would be a immense undertaking. I don't think that would be fair to expect that of them. I would just like them to update the following two charts with all of the information that is listed for the 'old' processors and put on that same kind of information for the new processors.

Sounds like a good project -- go for it!

Oh, I thought that the Toms guys were just waiting a while before doing the benchies. Because of the sheer number of things to benchmark, I can see why they'd stop this practice, but it's a bit disappointing.

Poster isn't talking about benchmarks, he's talking about a chart with basic information of the processors that would not involve any effort but the time to add the new processor information.

I agree, it would be nice for Toms to update these. It was one of the shining gems of their website.

However, I think too busy finding new and inventive ways to cram adverts down our throats...

You're 100% correct on that whole post.

Yes, if you haven't noticed, Tom's is not what it once was.

I've noticed.

A lot of their charts haven't been updated. They don't have the Nvidia 9XXX cards in their VGA charts. I had to use other sources when making a recent purchase decision.
