First,I dont know much about computers. I need to extend storage capacity on my LenovoT61 2GHz T7300 1GB 32 bit, 68GB to at least 250GB to store and work with all my pictures I have made so far. I checked the lenovo website but cannot find enough information as to what internal hard drive would be compatible. I know there is place where you can enter product ID but it just doesnt work. Is there anyone who could point me at the right direction? Thank you, Tomas

Hello Tomas,

IBM T61's take a standard 2.5 inch laptop drive. The T61 is capable of controlling a 7200 rpm drive as well, though if I recall correctly, it came with a 5400. Just make sure that it is an SATA drive. If you would like, I can get you a link to a drive that will work, but T61's use a standard laptop SATA hard drive.

I hope this helps,
Brad

I use Western Digitals 7200 rpm black series 2.5 inch. I use one in the HDD slot and one in the ultra bay caddy for 640 gb total.
