Is there ANY way to control your PSU fan? Modding? Fan controllers? Anything. I've been waking up to the piercing sound of my PSU. I've manually stopped each fan in my computer and it makes no difference in the amount of sound it makes. I just need some way to make the PSU fan more silent. Model is Thermaltake Toughpower 750W. It falsely advertised 14CM silent fan. My case wasn't made to stifle sound or silence. BUT I know for a fact all the sound is coming from my PSU.

Yup, reduce the heat in the psu.

blow a fan on it (if you can't figure anything, i'll have it, i already have a gfx card that can be heard downstairs....)

Wow, I have a ThermalTake TP 700W and its pretty quiet...I can't imagine that the next model up would be so much louder. There must be a lot of heat in your case.

If it is still under warranty return it. If not take the PSU apart, replace defective fan.

Kill the FAN and connect AC

yes..open it up and cut the fan wires....that's the duct tape fix
