Retrive data from external hard drive

My computer will not read the info on my external hardrive. The computer notices it but I can't access anything on it.

Disk Management - Is it recognized here and has a valid file system, etc ?

Have you checked that drive for errors with chkdsk or other diagnostic software from the manufacturer ?
