My system:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb Black Edition @3.5 Ghz(so far stable as hell)
GIGABYTE MA790GP-DS4H
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120mm "Core Contact Freezer" CPU Cooler
WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM 64 BIT

My problem:

can't get my Hyper Transport to run above the default/stock 1.8 Ghz(even tho my mobo supports up to 2.6)

MY exacT TO THE T BIOS SETTINGS:

HT Link Frequency = AUTO (setting this to 2.0 Ghz does NOT allow me to boot, however lowering it, does lower it)
EPP Mode = Auto
EPP Voltage Control = By EPP (previous 2 lines involving EPP = only way I can get my mem to clock @ 1066 Mhz and proper timings)
CPU Clock Ratio = x17.5
CPU Northbridge Freq = Auto (changing this multiplier alone does nothing)
CPU Host Clock Control = Auto
X CPU Frequency (Mhz) = 200 (default, and can only change this by changing previous line to manual, I have yet to touch this ever)
PCIE Clock (Mhz) = Auto
VGA Core Clock Control = Disabled (I have a nvidia XFX 9800 GT video card)
X VGA Core Clock (Mhz) = 700 (I have a nvidia XFX 9800 GT video card)
Set Memory Clock = Auto (Changing this to manual turns EPP OFF and causes memory to time wrong)
X Memory Clock = x5.33 1066 Mhz
----DRAM CONFIGURATION PRESS ENTER---- (It's set to auto w/ EPP)
System Voltage Control = Manual
Southbridge Volt Control = Normal
Sideport Mem Volt Control = Normal
Northbridge Volt Control = Normal
DDR 2 Volt Control = Normal(Pretty sure EPP sets this to the necessary 2.1 Volts to run 1066, but not 100% sure)
CPU NB VID Volt Control = Normal(I have Nvidia XFX 9800 GT)
CPU Volt = +.05 to 1.40V (Default 1.35V)

what EXACTLY do i need to change to increase my HTT

You can't. The Phenom 2 right now runs on a 1.8 hypertransport. The hypertransport buss is pretty sensitive, increase it much, and your system becomes unstable fast.
Increasing the HT buss doesn't help much anyway, there is already plenty of bandwidth there.
Not until the true AM3 processors are released on a true AM3/DDR3 board will the 2.6 hypertransport buss be implemented.

I have the 940 and a Giga-Byte 790X-udp4....I just set the multiplier (BOTH for the HT and northbridge) to 10x...

´cause I believe that HT speed can´t be faster than NB´s...
(If I´m wrong...let me know!.. jeje)

About performance.... I´m a graphic Designer....and now I can see a slightly bump in performance when switching between aplications....

That's interesting. I have the Gigabyte 790X-udp4 (I know the OP has a different board) as well, and my HTT is running at 2.0. Rock solid stable with an OC @ 3.4.

I rarely shut down or reboot because I don't have to. Never had a lock up or even an odd glitch. Mobo have the latest bios? /shrug
