I have an asus p4266b board (something like that)
I have 2 ide drive and 2 scsi drive the scsi drives work fine.
My primary slave ide drive has kicked the bucket. I tried to just remove the drive however when i do this
My primary master drive is no longer detected. ANy idea what would cause this issues?
My jumper for my master is set to master and the same is true for the slave drive.
They are the only 2 devices on the ide channel.

Help is appreciated
thanks

i found out that the issue was that my master drive had two options master and master with slave present. I changed it from master with slave to just master removed my bad drive and all is well
