More Information

Hello,

I'm in the process of bulding a budget gaming computer for $500-$600

The problem is that I've got a rather old EVGA 680i sli board. Two models exist, the T1 version, and the A1 version, and one of them has problems with the new 45nm processors.

A1 version

T1 version
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813188012

Heres the questions.

1)How can tell which mobo is which? Is there some sort of ID?

2)Which mobo is not compatible with the 45 processors? (I heard its the A1 type, I'm not certain)

I've looked around a lot, and no-one seems to know :(

Thanks in advance!

More Information

1) The last 2 characters of the model indicates the version. 122-CK-NF68-A1. It's printed on a label on the box & the board.

2) 680i can't do 45nm quads. You need 750i/780i/790i for Yorkfields. 680i can do up to 45nm dualie Wolfdale.
