Hi I'm making a new computer and the CPU I have is not fitting into the motherboard. I have the CPU lined up perfectly but when I move down the load plate thing it doesn't go all the way down. Im pushing down the lever thing pretty hard but I don't want to break the thing. It says its compatible with the CPU so I don't know if its a problem with the motherboard or if Im not pressing down the lever hard enough.

Thanks

If the cpu notches line up and the cpu is flush with the socket, then you should be ok to close the lever all the way. A little force is required. Just be sure the black plastic protector plate is off the socket.
