Deskjet all in one not recognized

after upgrading bios on win xp, my 1310 hp all in one no longer will can to a document. Any suggestions?

Do all of your other USB devices work OK? Try moving ports, uninstalling and re-installing the drivers maybe. HP tends to add their own USB port connections, possibly your bios upgrade changed the USB ports enough that the HP drivers can't communicate with them now.
