The Number Eight key won't work suddenly on my laptop. Not on the top line or the number keyboard...is it a Coincidence that this has happened just after my Norton Security lapsed...?! on that note, can anyone rec a good free laptop security download...Not gonna be able to afford the big boys for a bit...! Thanks...Billy...

All of the major AV's offer a free version for Home Computer Users.
Avast, AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials, Comodo to name a few. They don't have all the bells & whistles, but will suffice til you can buy !

The 8 key being faulty, may have something to do with the Constant Guard Protection being installed with Norton, and that you may have other virus protection like Malware bytes etc installed. There is a conflict and some other keyboard keys may also be malfunctioning but you are unaware.

Basically, it is unadvisable to have more than one (1) anti-virus installed.

I'm using Microsoft Essentials (for this Toshiba laptop), it seems to do a good job and is free from Microsoft. I use AvgFree for my desktop, it is also free.
