This is my 1st build and not sure if this is normal for Q6600 in game(Age of Conan) Here is a temp log and as you can see some core temp went up quite a bit...I also included a Core Temp window showing my idel stage. No, OC and system is air cooled. Thanks.

Hmmm... it looks like Core#3 is getting awful hot (98C?).

 

You should perhaps use Prime95 to see what all 4 cores will get up to. Either somethings going on with the DTS sensor, or if you are using the stock HSF, you might have one pin not secure on the 4 pin HSF.

 

Hard to say.

How to Overclock Quads

 

Basically you install the original software and replace the EXE file to update it. The update has the 32bit, and there is also a newer version for 64bit. Hard to tell what OS your using, even though looks like vista.

I'm using Thermaltake V1 w/arctic silver 5. I just re-installed it and have it turned to another direction... for some reason my idel temp is down to 27, 28, 23, 25... I will run the Prime95
