Drive letter assigned to non exsting drive

Hello,
In "My Computer" there are drive listings that have no physical drives connected. No network mapped. Hardware manager does not list these drives on in My Computer.
My Compuer listing Example: mmc/sd (H) - compactflash/II (I) and others. None of these are listed in Hardware manager.

How to delete them?

It sounds like you have a card reader installed or attached to the computer. XP sees each slot as a drive, whether or not there is a card inserted into the reader. When you insert a card, you can open it in windows explorer.
