Hi,

I have a Cox Cable Converter box described below:

Motorola Dual-Tuner DVR
Model DCT6412 Phase III

When a technician came out to check on a problem, he used my remote
control and brought up a screen with dozens and dozens of lines of
data. The data included signal levels which were constantly varying,
and all kinds of interesting stuff about the many channels. It also
included a temperature readout, in degrees F, which was interesting.

Question: How can I access this screen listing? What buttons on the
remote do I push to bring it up? What do I push to make it go away?

Thank you,

JoAnne

Hire in at the local cable company and go through their specific training
for the service technicians. Company specific materials and service codes
required.

You can try to google it. But be careful with service codes; you could get
into something and really screw things up.

Thank you gentlemen! I fihuered out HOW to bring up the diagnostic
screen. All I need do is to press "Power" on the remote and then press
"Select" on the remote within 2 seconds. :-)
