So the question is to upgrade my MB or not. I just bought a AMD X2 5000+ BE and I currently have an ASUS M2NPV-VM (Geforce 6150/Nforce 430). I have access to a free Biostar Tforce TF7025-M2 (Geforce 7025/Nforce 630). My goal was to OC the CPU to as high it will go on stock voltage since I have a small mATX case and I don't want to generate lots of heat.

There really aren't any charts that compare these chipsets so I am looking for opinions? I drive a 1680x1050 monitor but I am considering buying new GPU in the future, maybe a GF 9600GT. I would use all of the other components listed in the signature. Thoughts...

The 5000+ BE maxes out at 3-3.2ghz on stock voltage. It will run as hot/cool as a stock 5000+ BE. What you need to do is try and keep the HTT at 200mhz & up the multiplier to x15/16. That will be 3/3.2ghz. Try it on both boards. If for example the max o/c is 2.8ghz, don't bother wasting money on another board. Look at Intel if you want high o/c's.

The Geforce 7025 is available to me for free, so I was wondering in anyones experience if it is worth my time to take that computer apart and get the MOBO or if the upgrade is trivial and I should just stick with the Geforce 6150.

I guess that better question is if the Nforce 630a MCP is a lot better then the Nforce 430 MCP.
