Another case with door...ack!

These have been around for a while....reviews in the past say they are an a$$ pain to work and air flow issues.

Reply to 1971Rhino

i still like the Antec 1200 and Cosmo S better. but this is at the similar price point i think.

Reply to iluvgillgill

It's ugly, but it might make a fun sci fi mod case with a little work.

Looks like a bad body kit for a 1994 Civic. Where are the obligitor NOS and Eibach stickers for it? No gauges? Wing? Faux carbon fiber? This thing is disappointing. All those things add horsepower to cars, I'm sure they'd double your FPS in Crysis.

To be honest, I almost bought one of those years ago. Then I got a good look at one close up and a case of good sense set in. It does remind me a lot of an Alienware case, though. Oh yes, I though those were kind of ugly as well when I saw one in front of me. Very Star Wars looking and all, but that's about it.

When I first saw one of those a few years ago I just couldn't understand why my beloved Asus would put their name on such a thing. It is...oh, I don't know...hideous.

Well, maybe, if you really, really hate beige. Then again, how many plain beige cases inspired people to various art forms with airbrushes and such?

Okay:

First of all side windows are SUPER fugly, as is UV reactive glowy crap, blue led's, Antec 900's, NZXT, and almost all thermaltake...

...so you guys should talk, you like all that fugly stuff...blech :P

...end of rant :D

Its a Chenbro case from 2004/2005. Back then it was only like 80 bucks (USD). How much is this pile of plastic? Why is Ferrari putting its badge on a cheap case that even in its hayday was clearly so underwhelming that nobody in this forum has noticed the "similarities". Man i kinda wish i bought that case just prove my point. Ahh well, to give you an idea of the time frame, it was back when the thermaltake Tsunami just came out, ironically around the same time the big Tsunami hit you know where.

Im ok with the no windows, the windows thing is kinda lame now, however, that case is pretty ugly to me, but some people think my case is boring(p182) so to each his own.

Compared to this ASUS POJ the P182 looks so good it hurts. While the P182 (mirror finished version) looks like a high end fridge if it cooled my cocacola bottle while working I'd get one.

I don't like front doors and side windows. However the sidepanel on the stock CM 690 is so ugly with those fan mount holes that I had to buy the windowed version. :)

i mean it all depends if you like showing off your hardware or block everything off to make it silent.

Reply to iluvgillgill

I don't care about led fans and CCFLs, I do however value good cable management and I like looking at hardware. All those UV connectors, reactive cables and whatnot is however wasted on me. :D

A silent/quiet PC is as always a major plus point for a case.

maybe a nuclear reactor inside it would be sick!

adrius i dont recognise you as easy as before now.due to your new tag.:P

Hah, used the Cosmos S as a LAN party case and carried it with the handles which recently snapped and warped the frame of the case and took a few capacitors off my 8800 GT, lol.

Reply to The_Blood_Raven

oooh!that must have hurt.....your wallet!lol

those handles is held in by plastic clips right?or screws?

I always thought the Cosmos S looks like a Samsonite suitcase ... too bad it's not built that way.

@The_Blood_Raven
I almost know how you feel. I was using my notebook about a year back and my kittycat jumped into my lap sending the notebook flying towards the floor. The notebook still works but the screen's lighting has become very erratic since that little introduction to gravity and rapid deceleration trauma. The housing has several cracks some of which I could patch up with macgyver tape and superglue.

Well at least I wasn't the only one thinking this. Hmmm I wonder if it will crush under an SUV just like those road squeegees they call cars.
