Hardware Guru's,

It's been a long time since I last looked at hardware, the last time I investigated graphics cards was in the days of the GeForce2 cards so I'm feeling a little bit out of touch.

I recently performed a low budget upgrade on my computer, opting for a AMD64 X2 processor and a Asus M2N-XE motherboard. The MoBo has the GeForce 6100 /nForce 430 chipset but does not have integrated graphics - so my question is what does the GeForce 6100 chipset actually do?

Thanks

Thanks - but given it does not have on board graphics what does the 256mb of VRAM do?

Cheers
