Windows Vista Not Recognizing Wireless Printer IP Address

Recently I replaced our wireless hub. The laptop picked up the new IP address with no issue however Windows Vista is not picking up my wireless printer on the new IP address.

I've un-installed and re-installed the printer multiple times with no luck.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. So I had to re-think my original answer on this because it was long and round about. The best thing to do is temporarily install the printer via USB cable then create a new printer port (TCP/IP and choose generic networking card) then in the printer properties switch it to this networking port.

P.S. during the creation of the printer port you can type in the ip address.

If you have any trouble let me know.
