Windows XP BLACK edition

I have Windows XP pro installed, and i've just replaced my motherboard, RAM and CPU. today i've just learned about Windows XP black edition- which is an illegal version of windows xp and it runs faster, especially with games. However, will i be able to do a system repair (repair installation) with a black edition disc, download patches from Microsoft and it was infamous for being unstable
and would you guys suggest on using black edition? If it would work for me is it worth the alleged speed boost? i can overclock but i think a faster OS on top of that might be good. what are your thoughts?
