I'm kinda new at this overclocking thing, so I hope someone can help me out.
Here's what I got;
Mobo - EVGA 680i SLI
CPU - E6750
RAM - Corsair XMS2 PC6400 2x1GB

I've got my CPU up to 3.0Ghz which is staying pretty steady at 35 deg idle 55 deg full load. I thought that was a little high, but it's stayed that way since stock speeds. I've left the RAM unlinked so it's still at 800 mhz but I've changed the timings to 4-4-4-12.
What would be a safe overclock for that RAM and how much more could I go on the CPU with my stock cooler? I've heard some people take it up to 3.2, but nobody really posts what their RAM is clocked at.

You don't need to OC your RAM for it to keep up with the CPU. Since all data to/from RAM goes through the FSB, the FSB speed limits the overall memory throughput. To match that, run the memory bus at 1/2 the datarate of the FSB. For example, if your FSB is 1333MHz datarate, run your memory at DDR2-667 to match that (assuming the RAM is running in dual-channel mode).

So, you're saying that, since I am currently running at 3.0ghz which is 1500 FSB, my RAM should be at 750. So the only way I get the full advantage of my DDR2-800 RAM is to have my CPU at 3.2ghz with 1600 FSB?
