Naturally these motherboards are inferior to its 790GX sibling. Due to the different north and south bridges. Say I'm looking to overclock an AM3 720 to maybe a 3.5 with a slight volt modification, I should be alright with a 780G right? Would their be any other reason to pick up the 790GX besides an potentially higher overclock?

SB600 compared toSB750. Much better overclocker. Also if you happen to upgrade(CPU) SB750 will work great and SB600 will be real old technology but of course SB750 will not be new either......LOL
