Hello there

I want to buy a sound card right now i have a audigy SE. And i want to buy the

Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Sound Card

So right now I have a Home theater but it does not have the conexion for 5.1 in games I mean
(rear, front and subwofer miniplug to rca)

The only way i can connect is dolby digital and dts to watch movies via SPDIF

i heard and read, but very unsure how it works that with the auzentech you can hear the 5.1 in games connecting the SPDFI cable

The doldi digital live and those features. thank you.
this is the link

I can partially answer your question,

Yes, it's a very good card for both gaming and music. Pretty much top of the line too.

but you didnt answer my question exactly.

What im asking is?

will I be able to listeng 5.1ch in games with a optical or SPDIF conecction with a home theater?

because right now if I set fe example COD4 in 5.1ch I cant hear the voices.

That because I Only have one cable, not the front, rear and subwofer

I have an Auzentech Prelude 7.1, running via the Optical out into an NAD T775 (7.1 ch) amplifier, and using the NAD's D/A converter. Setting this up was literally as simple as plugging the cable in, turning the amp on, and selecting the proper input. So the answer to your question is a definitive "Yes, you can do that."
