hows it going
recently got the GA-P35C-DS3R (rev. 2.0), and have the opportunity to get the QX9650 cpu.
im currently running it with a Core™ 2 Duo E6600.
i have the following question/concerns: firstly my bios rev is F4 ( checked on box and on PCB ), this bios isint even listed
on the cpu support list for this rev so im a bit concerned, secondly will i have to update my bios to F6 (supports yorkfield) or will i get away with the current bios im using - id rather not flash the bios as im a chicken lol...anyone else running this cpu with the current rev and f4 bios ?.
listen any help is appreciated as i got no reply fro the gigabyte support site.
cheers,
matt.

You have to flash the bios. Unlike newer chipsets (P45/X48), P35 does not support 45nm quad natively. If you have an old bios, there is no choice.
