Could anyone tell me if the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 can handle games like Age of Conan, or Call of Duty 4? Those are the two most demanding games i will be playing. The computer i was looking at that had it was the Asus M70SA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834220309

My guess is it can probably play them on lower settings. Hell, I can play CoD 4 on my X800pro, 1280x1024 low settings. Though, that laptop has a 1920x1200 screen, which changes things a little bit. But I think you would be ok.

gaming laptops are so expensive. You'd be better off building a budget gaming desktop [about 600] and buying a decent laptop for a grand. and, it'll play the games, but I doubt it will do well at all, to be honest. The x800pro actually ranks along side the mobility HD2600, which probably gets around the same performance as the mobility HD 3650. The normal GDDR2 3650 is ranked one above. That said, you'd probably do about the same as the poster above me, maybe a little bit better since you'd be playing newer games.

The HD3650 will be fine for COD4, and if you're concerned about performance in for reslolution then just scale to 4:1 and run at 960x600 it'll be fine for even Crysis.

You would be better off with a GF8800M GTS/GTX or Mobile HD3850, but the HD3650 will be good with medium settings, and the X800 has nothing to do with this generation.

I know this post is LONG after the topic seems to be ended, but I found this in a google search and as an owner of an ATI Radeon Mobility HD 3650 512MB GDDR3 (256-bit) Dedicated graphics card, I can say for a fact I play Crysis on it at 1280x768 ALL Medium and get 70 FPS avg. Hope this helps. (Remember that Dedicated mobile graphics solutions are ALWAYS better than their shared system memory counterparts).
