Hello everybody :)!

Hi guys, well my question and concirn is, i have a amd athlon x2 4800+ (ADO4800IAA5DO ).
http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=46&f1=AMD+Athlon%e2%84%a2+X2+Dual-Core&f2=&f3=&f4=&f5=&f6=&f7=&f8=&f9=&f10=No
Stock 2.5ghz. I recently 3-4 days ago started overclocking!:D! Well, My big question is,, i overclocked it to 3.00ghz, 12x, 250. everything seems to be fine, using the pc for about 2-3 days nooo problems! Ran a little prime95 and everything was alrighty. The temerture when to about 61-63, at around 100% CPU USAGE. I AM USING SPEEDFAN, AND CORE TEMP, SAME TEMPS SHOW UP! In idle its usualy between 47-53c. And when am gamming it seems to be between 50-55, rare 56,57. So my question is, is this SAFE? Just to say, I AM UPRADING MY HSC. I am planning on getting the ZELMAN 9500 OR THE 9700, THEY'RE in my PRICE RANGE!. IN about a month or so! Unless you guys have another option or opinion in the cooling price range? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated !:)! Thanks!

So i would like to know if these temps are safe, at least for a month or two? Before i can afford to get a new heat sink/cooler! My case is a antec 900. :D! I am also going to replace the 80mm side fan, if that helps? The momo is at constant 25-30c. never beyond that. Anyways, am seriously sorry for this long post! I just want to know if these are okay/(safe) temps, for the time being, for this period. Thanks soo much !:)!

check out amd's website for max temps for your cpu

http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=46&f1=&f2=&f3=&f4=&f5=&f6=&f7=&f8=&f9=&f10=

Max temps for your cpu are 68c full load so you are under that at full load.

I would say as long as your cpu temps aren't jumping around much and it stays within the specifications you should be fine, but i would definitely upgrade my cooler if I am going to maintain the overclock speeds.

Hope this helps

thanks homie :D! Thats what i was thinking. It is bellow, and i am sure when i REPLACE THE STOCK COOLING, IT will decrease at least 5-15c, i am planing on buying the zelman 9500 or the 9700, and my case is well wentilated, antec 900. So i am sure it will drop down, i replaced the stock fan, with a 80mm, and bam i got -5-10c decrease, i couldnt imagine what a zelman will do! Thanks again, made me feel less afraid of the TEMPS!hahahahahahaha!:D!

Thanks again!

imo you should burn out that cpu on the old cooler and buy a newer cpu later instead of a new cooler.

but on the other hand the cooler could carry over to another build.
