Agreed I run that game on the Rig In My Sig, and the thing just flies @ 1680x1050 w/dual screens enabled.
Max details.

Saw a good increase in performance from a dual core setup.

WOW thanks A lot Guys! Great Help!

now Here is a Question i wanted to know for a long time,

i Have a P4 3.4GHz HT Extreme, and it Flies through Crysis and whatever but Supreme Commander, it Sucks, i play in a 10x10 with a cap of 250 units
after about 1 hour it Sucks.

So what i Really want to know is (How many Guys) can you play with, with these CPU's? where it doesn't Slow down after an hour or 5, thanks Big time Guy's!

like 5/6/8 players with 1000 Unit Cap, thanks!

quad core all the way, at least a q6600. i dont personally like oc, too complicated on a ga-p35-ds3l. if u want to oc, get a nvidia mobo, its so much simpler.

Umm you must be retarded, oc'ing on the ds3l is quite simple. Hmm you seem to be pretty inconsistent with your knowledge, in another post you were talking about how a e8400 would bottleneck. interesting....

Then you need a quad core. If you do overclock, e8400 can give acceptable performance on higher unit counts.

quads definetly give higher performance on SCFA than duals, the games just build that way, there a topic too that shows results comparing quads and duals

Supreme Commander is one of only a handful of games that's already quad optimized.

Think about the performance difference between single core and duals as games became dual optimized, and the performance between quad and dual in this case makes sense. Eventually, it'll reflect performance of all games.

With the CoreMaximizer patch any quad core scores 10k (the maximum AFAIK) points (CPU/SIM) in SC/SCFA built in performance test.

I'm not really sure how much a 3GHz dual core gets but a 3.7GHz E6750 scores ~8600 in a friends build.

Cool Guy's Good Help,

OK i am looking at the E8400,Q6600,and Q9300

now the E8400 is $194.99 the Q6600 is $214.99 and the Q9300 is $274.99

so any of these you think would work the Best?

thanks For the Help!

Q6600 would be the best bang for the buck, as well as work the best. Q9300 is too crippled by low multiplier, but q9450 is a viable option for greater performance, if you have the money.

Q6600 @ 3.6 will run ok until theres around 2000 Units...then Simulation speed will drop, however framerate drops way before then unless u got a very high end card....

I want to test an i7 @ 4GHZ to see if we can have more units before the game simulation speed goes into slow motions....

---I WANT EPIC 5000 UNIT LANS ALREADY WHERE R THE OCTO CORES???
