Hi, I have Fotron ATX-350PNF power supply. It has 300W(25A) on two 12V rails (18A and 16A) + 130W on 3.3V (22A) and 5V (21A). I have read FAQ and looked on some PC power consumptiongraphs and it seems to me that it can run E2180 + one HDD + HD3850 or 9600GT without problems, what do you think?
BTW - if I understood FAQ correctly, some manufacturers would probably sell my power supply as 450W (or even 585,6W ), which is probably reason why ATI and NVIDIA recommends 450W for these cards, am I right?
You only need 20 amps on the 12v rails for the 3850 or 19 amps with the 9600GT.
Not all power supplies have the same 12v rails and configurations of computers can be very different. That is why ATI and Nvidia have to recommend higher power supplies.

It should be enough. Even the 8800GT should work, it has a 22A minimum requirement, and the 8800GT consumes more than the 9600GT.
Still, get yourself a nice PSU with 80% efficiency as soon as you can, OK? That fsp works at 70%, especially when pushed so close to its limit, so you're getting more heat and wasting electricity with it.
