Hi guys, just need some help with some stuff.

I am soon going to get a new PC and I have a few questions. I would like to game at 1680x1050 and have found a 20" that does that. However, there is a 22" monitor that has the same resolution for only slightly more. I'm fine with the 20" size and becuase it's smaller would it produce a better image quality than the 22"?

Also, concerning video cards: I am looking to spend about $300-350 on one (I like the look of the 8800GTS but it's a bit cheap!) and the 9800GTX doesn't seem to justify the $300 that I would like to spend. Should I wait for the next generation of cards or go ahead with the 9800GTX or 8800GTS (maybe two in SLI?). I think the HD4870 will be around $300 won't it?

Cheers

Ketchup_Rulez there are a lot of good monitors out there,I went with 22" beacause of little more screen and the reviews on my monitor, went from 19" viewsonic $350 to a acer 2216 bw $219 the acer in my Opinion blowed the 19"away.as far as video 9800 GTX would be my choice.go with 22" you will be happy you did.hopes this helps you.

I have a 20" and a 21.6" side by side. The aspect ratio is slightly different, but you don't really notice it. The 22" has bigger pixels which means it's better if it sits further from me. Frankly I'm very happy with both. I recommend you get the 20" if you sit close to the monitor and have good eyes, and the 22" otherwise.

Yes, wait for the HD 4870 if you can. If you can't, and you get an 8800GTS, make sure it's a 512MB, not 320 or 640.
