ati 3870X2 dual display issues

Ok, so i got an ATI 3870x2 the single card, e8400 intel dual core, asus maximus formula and 2gb 1066 ram so its not a performance issue.

Some may or may not no 'Hammer' is a graphics utility for the Source gaming engine.

It runs fun on one screen, when i switch it over to the second it gets all laggy even if i have nothing running, it will just refuse to run smoothly on the second screen. Its not the cpu leaving the gfx card being the issue.
Is there a way that i can designate one of the GPUs to run one screen and the other to run the other?
I can switch the primary monitor (using ultramon btw) to make it work but i dont want to have to keep switching things around.

If so please say or any other way that i can get both working fine

I have no issues with no graphical programs, teamspeak, itunes, firefox.

Hi mavadosh,

I had a similar thing with my last device.
on which port are you working ?
do you have VGA and DVI ? or Dual DVI?
try changing the positions .

I worked with my PC on DVI and only then I could clone to TV.

Its dual DVI ill try swopping them round now
I just took a look and i cant swop the primary and secondary monitors around, that was my last machine
