define, Ryan...

If you mean new arch or die shrink...

die shrink is by the end of this year and new arch is...

45nm is a little more then a die shrink - it has 6MB cache for a start - and expect a few extra tweaks... Not earth shattering, but expect 10% clock for clock gain. And yes – this is on the roadmap for q4 2008…

This is the last month distributors can order 125w Phenoms. I've seen Phenom 9750 95w on cpu support lists but haven't seen them at retail yet. 95w Phenoms 9850BEs are due in Q4 - as are the 45nm Denebs. The 9100e's are only available through OEM prebuilts - don't know when they might roll at retail.

We are a week from July. That means . . . . . 790GXs with sb750. Yippee!

Wasn't AMD/ATI doing their 4850/4870 release tomorrow? (6/25)

Of course they released the 4850 early since they realized everyone already had bought them.

IF AMD/ATI is doing that... it would be a good idea for any new processors/chipsets etc to ALSO be released on the same day.

(For maximum effect. But who knows.)
