For gaming....without a router or switch. I'm connecting two systems, what would be better?

a. usb 2.0
b. firewire
c. crossover cable 10/100

I would guess c. Crossover cable.

Actually, Firewire is going to be the fastest...here's the breakdown of speeds for each
Firewire: Something like 1 Gig a second
USB: 400 mbps
Crossover: is usally 100mbps

Firewire by far is faster :)

now I need to know, if I hook up say....4 systems....and the net. how do I do firewire thru a gigabit router and still maintain a fast stream system to system.
net speed is controled via DSL, net speed is not a concern becouse I don't game online..just simple surfing
