i bought my laptop last year Dell studio xps 1645 with i7 processor. i got windows 7 professional with it. i started experiencing a problem that randomly my windows explorer started crashing, it happened quite often before but now happens just randomly. i dont understand any reason for it. Oh and when it crashes and restarts i can see the recovery partition of my hard drive in 'My Computer'. any suggestions on how to fix this?

In order for us to figure out exactly what happened, we need you to go to the event viewer and see what the exact issue it is when this happens. Right click on Computer->click Manage->Event Viewer->Windows Logs and Look through till you see Explorer.exe and a red exclamation mark. Then copy and paste the details into a reply. Thanks!

Under what subheading would i find the Explorer.exe
log summary
recently viewed nodes
or
summary of administrative events?
