Looking at those 2 cards on newegg,

GIGABYTE GV-NX88T512HPV1 8800 GT, OC'ed, $157 after MIR

XFX PVT88PYSF4 8800 GT, stock speed, $170

I am leaning towards the Gigabyte for the price but like the XFX's warrenty and card design.

What do you guys think?

I have never had a Gigabyte card so i cant really say anything about it but i have had XFX cards so i can tell you about them

First your right with the warranty they have you can't really beat it with the double lifetime warranty the 2ed owner also has a lifetime warranty not just you will so you can push that and get a better selling price with you do sell it

My relationship with XFX started with the 6600GTthat was in my 3erd computer with that card by xfx i was able to sell that computer at a higher cost

Next i bought a 7900GT from XFX it was fine for a while but later in it's life it was haveing memory leaks i opened a ticket and got an rma number and soon i had a new card i got the 7900GT back (not the same one a new one) that one failed less than 1 year in and XFX replaced it with a 7950GT that was in my other computer i recently sold

The next one i bought was an 8800GT Alpha dog edition 670 clock 1.95Ghz mem clock that one took a dump on me less than 3 months of useing it and had a replacement in less than a week with a bigger better fan

overall i've really likes XFX they may have a few probloms with cards but they take care of you

(keep in mind i bought the 8800GT when they first came out they all where haveing heat issues not just the xfx cards)

I got that card last week too(Gigabyte). It runs very quiet and very cool. It uses the same solid capacitors and such as the mother boards. I done a little research on it before I got it and found that even with no memory chip coolers it ran considerably cooler than all of the others. Here is a link to that review..

They are virturally the same card, even the same cooler for that fact. The XFX is 600MHZ the Gigabyte 700MHZ. I'd get the Gigabyte for the simple fact it has a pretty heafty OC from factory and you don't have to mess with a thing. Just my thoughts.
