Power supply enough for 4850?

I'm thinking of buying a 4850 when it's gonna be available over here, but i'm not so sure that my PSU can handle it. From what i've read i understand that the 4850 has a TDP of 110W, about the same as a 8800GT, but i don't know how many amps are enough on the 12V rails. My PSU is a Thermaltake 420W, with 25A on the 12V rails and i only have one HDD, one DVD-RW, 2 case fans, not really a power hungry system. So will a 4850 run fine or should i go with a 9600GT?

An 8800GT needs 22A. I'm sure your HD 4850 will be fine with that PSU.

I agree with avem - you should be good to go.
The Sapphire site recommends a 450W PSU but doesnt list any Amperage suggestion. http://www.sapphiretech.com/us/products/products_overview.php?gpid=244
Im sure they're allowing for some 450W budget PSUs that are weaker on the +12V rail than yours.

On second thought, that PSU has a 15A and a 10A rail, so combined they are not really 25A, more like 20A..22A I'm guessing. I should have checked before posting, sorry...

Still, considering that the rest of the system is really minimal, I think it should work.

Nvidia recommends 26 amps for 8800gt and a 400w psu. People have got by with less, 25a seems safe.
