Methinks that you meant to hit REPLY rather than starting a new thread.

Anyway, the primary difference between the 2300 and the 2310 is that the 2300 is a PCIe x1 connection and the 2310 is a PCIe x4 connection and allows for faster data transfer than the 2300.

I have a 2310 and for a software RAID solution it does what it is supposed to. If using Windows, I highly recommend using the RAID Management software to rebuild and configure the array. You can set up arrays in the BIOS but you need the software for OCE and array rebuilding.
