Image or copy/ copy or image the OS???

Hello everyone. i have a WD Blue 500gb with 15gb left(OS is on this drive; Vista) http://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/redface.gif! so its obviously time for a new HDD, i plan on getting a WD caviar Black 500 - 1tb. now here is what i want to do

1. get my OS and all of its contents, meaning all of my media and games to the black
2. then once i have two HDD with identical information i want to use the black as my OS drive and have my Blue for space.


i know there are options such as mirroring and possibly RAID but i dont know if i can RAID 1 without cleaning out my Caviar Blue.

All i want is the Black for speed, and the blue for space what are my best options... oh and i dont want to reinstall windows due to all the programs.

If you do not want to rebuild and reinstall your software, cloning the drive is probably your best alternative.

I use Acronis. I think you can download a free trial version.
