I have a GA-M61SME-S2 with the latest Bios update (19 March 2008). Updated from the 2007 bios that came with board

In my system I just had one fan ie Processor Fan alone . I have EasyTune5 installed and it showed a red flag by my system Fan.

This was expected as , I had no system Fan. I bought a system Fan and plugged it in the board. On this board there is only one place to plug a system fan in to. :)

I am still getting the problem. ie Easy tune 5 has red flagged the System Fan and it is reading 0. The System Fan settings is enabled in the Bios. The Fan is working cause it is lit up and spinning.

I have upgraded to Easy Tune 6 .. still no joy ....

is this a known problem on this board ?

patihk19 use speedfan core temp realtemp or something else, they are free downloads.

also did you make the system fan a intake or exhaust?

also what is cpu temp!

if you put new fan on back of case as a exhaust put another fan as intake in the front part of case.hope this helps you out.

Thanks . The fan is an intake. I was reading that the System Fan should have three wires not two. This may be the problem why the bios nor application is seeing the fan. I will be buying another fan in the morning .
