ASUS P5N-D onboard sound

i have problem with my onboard sound, its a realtek HD audio. I isntalled all the drivers already but still doesnt work. its shows the realtek HD audio with a yellow think on device manager.

ps. my OS is WinXP SP2

Does WinXP keep prompting you for the driver?

I had a similar problem. This happens when you try to use the Windows Update driver instead of the one that comes on the CD. Spent a few hours on this and couldn't figure it out.

It was easier and faster to reinstall the OS, use the driver from CD, then run windows update.

Remove your current driver and download the one for your motherboard from the Asus website. That'll ensure you have the most up to date one available.
