I am looking to buy a 32" LCD television. I've been considering
purchasing the Sharp 32" LC-32P50E. However, I cannot find any reviews
about it anywhere. Can anyone help?

Is the resolution of 960x540 an issue?

Is that a PAL TV? That resolution seems rather strange. Any recent
vintage Sharp Aquos should be capable of 1366x768.

Look at http://www.sharp.de/php/p.php?par=18_no_no_1091.
It is optimised PAL, not HDTV.

It is PAL. Go to the Sharp UK web site to see.

I have found only some short remarks from reviewers.
I'm interested in comparisons between this panel and uppsampling LCD:s
(1366x768) while using "PAL-land" SD-resolution (720x576/50i) from DVD
or DVB.
A link or conclusion, anybody?

I am living in the EU.

"The new P50 Series Panel has been specifically designed by Sharp to
ideally match the dot configuration of PAL standard".
see http://www.sharp.co.uk/Category.aspx?SubID=131

I'ts HD Compatible and has a HDMI connection.

I found a good review at the following URL :-
http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cg [...] hp?id=8211

RE: the 960x540 resolution
The review notes "a straightforward half or three-quarter downscale
conversion from 1080i or 720p signals to 540 lines (the easier the
downconversion equation, the less the likelihood of visible scaling
noise)"

Question : is this downconversion equation thing correct??

regards
