I have:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9-RH
3GB ddr 400mhz
Xfx 9800gtx+
and I am running a windows vista 64bit

I want to overclock my cpu and every time I do that my system wont even boot or if it does (only if I clock it to 1980 from 1880) it crashes after like 5 minutes or so.
Am I doing something wrong? :S
Nothing overheats or stuff like that I just get a basic "blue screen of death" that says dumping memory.

you're not necessarily doing anything wrong. either A) you need to increase the voltage a bit, or B) the cpu just isn't capable of running smoothly at the overclocked frequency. not all chips are good overclockers.

Well I increased the voltage for 0.1V and later for 0.2V and all I managed to do is crash my system even faster. LoL :p
