i recently bought a coolermaster 460w extreme power plus. my computer config is, q6600(at 2.8), 8800gt 512mb, and ga-73vm-s2. reviews claim dat this PSU gives upto 79% effeciency. amps in the two +12 rails are 18amps each. so m i sucking too much power from my PSU?? even if i m, plz tell me how many months will it last. because my dad wont buy a decent PSU until this one burn to the dust.

If you don't add any more components it should be fine. But if it fails it may take a few hardware pieces with it

O and drop the OC on your cpu, it MAY use too much power.

Impossible to tell how long it'll last to be honest. I agree with Blackwidow_rsa about dropping the OC, and also you never said how much ram you're running. 4 sticks draw more power than 2. Same can be said for the amount of optical drives and hard drives.
