I am trying to clock my memory upto 1200ghz..which I have done when I set my multiplier to 8x..which drops my CPU down to 2.4ghz..which is a big underclock from 3.4ghz

X2-6000 right now at 3.4ghz x11
8gig gskill right now at 1032ghz
FSB 300 HT 1550
M2N32SLI-Vista prem

Can 1200 be done

I have my ddr2 OCZ reaper ram at 1104Mhz. It wont stay stable over that, even with 2.25 volts.

Its all down to the ram and a bit of luck. Some people manage it with out any problems. What happens when you try it ?

My 6000+ doesnt like anything over 3.32Ghz. Its the way it goes.

33avz33, upped the ref clock, 12x275 is 3.3Ghz cpu, giving me a ram speed of 1104Mhz (with the timings set to ddr800).

I have to say, I duno how much the heat sinks help. They mostly just get in the way of my massive Sythe heat sink.

If your having problems you could try loosening the timings, and see how that impacts performance, or give the ram a little more voltage (but be careful).

Didn't work..12x275 ended up setting my cpu to 4.125ghz..instead of 3.300ghz..and that was with memory set to ddr2-800..I have know clue what so ever..How you was able to do it..I can't seem to up my memory speed to 1100 or 1200..when I know my memory can do it with no problems..And the only way I can do right now..Is setting my cpu to 8x-300FSB..and my memory to drr2-800 which gives me 1200...but lowers my cpu from 3.4ghz to 2.4ghz..which to me is a big underclock..and I'd like to keep my 3ghz speed range..but also get my memory passed 1100..

Here is my set up as of right now..

CPU X2-6000 clocked at 3.410ghz ( 11x310 )
FSB 310 HT 5x = 1550
DDR2-667 = 1032mhz
M2N32SLI-Vista Prem motherbroad
8600gts 512MB SLI

Only way I can get it to boot is setting my memory to DDR2-667..Would like to set it at DDR-800..but if I do..It sets my cpu at 4.5ghz.. ( 11x-300 )...which doesn't make since to me..So if anyone has any ideas..Please throw them my way..I could use the help

I have to say, I dont you how you get 4.125 from, 12x275.
the maths doesnt change, multiply 12x275 = 3300.

Depending on your bios options you should be able to change the memory multiplier/devider to help you sync your speeds. or maybe reset back to factory defaults and try from scratch.

An all honesty, speeds higher than 900Mhz on the ram doesnt yeald great performance boosts on the type of systems we have. I have settled for my current config as my X2 wont overclock to 3.4Ghz stable. If it would, I would sacrifice some ram speed.

Thanks for the help lee-m..I finally got it to work..It took some doing..Having to learn what it happens to like..And boy let me tell you....CPU at 3.4ghz..HT at 1550..and the memory at 1200...Vista loads abouts 6sec faster..Getting a jump on games..system runs alot faster and is happy as can be..So anyone who says AMD systems don't get performance boosts..With faster memory..Is full of it..Cause they do..let me tell you :)

CPU 3.4ghz X11
FSB 310 HT 1550mhz
Memory 8gig 1232mhz
and I am loving it
