Ok, been having a hell of a time with my first OC, even went backwards! I somewhat isolated the problem and could really use some advice. I cleared the CMOS on my MB and booted with everything on auto/default. I then changed my multiplier from 2 too 12.5, reboot. Got into windows and i am running at around 47C at full load. My motherboard, an asrock p45xe, has a option called "overclock mode" in the bios. I can set it to auto, manual, optomized, and intelligent overclocking technology. Changed to manual, didn't touch ANYTHING else, no boot. Set back to Auto, boot right away. What zee heck is going on here!!!!!!

I also have an Asrock motherboard but for AMD. I too was having the same problem. After further checking, I realized that when I set my bios to manual, Asrock AMD Motherboards sets both CPU and Northbridge voltages to zero. I had to know what voltage to set it at before it would boot. Could this be your problem also?
