increasing memory in bios for gateway laptop

I have a Gateway laptop 400sd4 model and I was told that it is possible to flash my bios to increase my ram capability. Is there anyone here that can tell me where i can find this bios flash? Its a real shame to have a 2.4ghz prosessor and only be able to install
512mb of ram.
