My MB crapped out and instead of replacing it I've decided its time for a big upgrade. Please check my parts and let me know if I've made any bad choices or mistakes. I will be reusing my existing drives and case/powersupply (antec 430w).

CPU: Intel core 2 quead Q6600
MB: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Graphics: EVGA 512-P3-N841-AR GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI
Cooling: Tuniq Tower 120 P4 & K8 CPU Cooler - Retail

Look ok?

Also, what is the overclocking potential of this setup?

I just got a system that is really similar. I've heard that the q6600 on a ds3l can get up to around 3.6, which is around the upper limit of the cpu anyway making the two a very nice combo. Nice GPU choice, I went with the XFX because it came with call of duty!

What would you suggest for a power supply? I will also be running 3 hds (500g sg baracuda 7200.10,and two 300g sg baracuda 7200.8) and a dvd burner (liteon - would have to take it out to see the model). Will also occasionally run an external usb drive for backups.

430W EarthWatts power supply is fine, some of you lot just love spedning money!

Its a fairly solid Seasonic design, 30A on the +12V

Its more than fine..

750 is overkill and basically useless on that sistem
but a nice 600w PSU would be nice to have. I'm not saying the system won't work on that 430W PSU for MSN/Yahoo/AOL and some youtube-ing, but if you want to throw some hard work on that system powered by a 430W , all I can say is "good luck mate"

Processor will often be at max load for extended time periods (36+ hours) running numerical simulations (floating point ops).
