Noob question...

So I got ALL my parts today except the CPU - I put everything together and plugged in the power cord... it won't turn on... the cables are correctly placed into the mobo (power switch etc.) so my question is do you need a CPU for it to turn on? Lol all the system I built I had everything but today I was impatient and just put it together w/o the CPU yet

Yes the CPU reads the BIOS before if can do anything. Thats actually one of the first things that happen.

Can a human live with out a brain? The CPU is the brain of the computer system, it cant turn on (live) with out it.
