I cant find a file that was printed to file

I have windows vista with Office 2010 starter version. I've tried to print an excel doc "print to file" several times, but can find it anywhere after it's done. It doesn't give a file location, just asks you to give it a file name.

Are you using the "File Menu" print which will prompt you for the full path and file name after checking Print to file box. ? The file you created would be in one of the xcel folders. You searched the name, I assume ?

Check My Documents unless you changed the default location to save documents in. Another thing, if you do that directly from an emailed document, it may end up in the Temp files location.
