I've been creepin on these forums for a little while now trying to become at least somewhat computer-literate as I'm going to attempt to build my own soon. I've read a bunch of reviews from the site and so far this is what I've put together as my build...
Dual 1920/1080 monitors
Motherboard - ASRock Z77 Extreme4
CPU - i5 3570
GPU - Radeon HD 7850 (2gb)
SSD - Samsung 840 (the 120gb version)
8 gigs of ram
I also have a 500gb external hard drive I'd put media and such on
I don't have an absolute price cap, but I'd like to keep it below $1,500
Basically, I'm building this computer for gaming. Games like Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2 etc... No MMO's or CoD/BF3. I'm wondering if this is a decent build for what I plan on doing. Would a switch to the Radeon 7890 (or another card of comparable price) be a better decision long term? Or would it not make much of a difference? Keep in mind, I don't plan on gaming on both monitors. One would be for games and the other I'd have forums/guides/youtube/whatever else up while I play. My last question is, what size case should I go with? This I'm absolutely clueless about, as I have no idea how large these components are. I figured I'd ask here before I actually went out and bought this stuff, so I don't blow $1,000+ dollars only to realize it could have been better. Thanks in advance!
