I recently changed my power supply and dusted the inside of my desktop. I later found that my lite-on dvd drive was not working. It open/closes but it is not detected. Ilooked in device manager and the primary and secondary ide is not showing. In bios my drive is detected but not in device manager. Cables are connected right and the dvd is set to master. Any ideas???

First, try deleting the upper and lower filters.

I tried both. Still no dice. Deleted upper/lower filters. Also tried fixit and it wasn't able to fix it. Also tried changing cables and plugging into secondary ide, but nothing.

If you didn't change any jumper or BIOS settings, the drive is likely dead.
