Which of these two cards is the better one for gaming? My friend has both now, so I can put either in his computer.

They both sport about the same graphics power, really.

The X1600 PRO probably has a slight edge in DirectX based games, and the 6600 GT probably does a bit better in OpenGL games like Doom 3, Quake wars, Prey, etc...
